Your eyes are stars

Your eyes are stars

Loving you has always been
The milky way where your eyes are stars
Lighting the milky canvas of space without gravity.
But It takes light years to count
How many times I have said “I love You”
Loading your name in my heartfelt poetry
And unloading it to hungry listening eyes on poetry shows

When you and I faced the other way
I have always flipped through poetry
Where my “I love you” still means happy
Ghosting the hope
That the pain will swallow the space between us
Begging the air to summon the heavens
That our hearts will succumb to gravity
Let us fall back in love
And use our heart veins as strings
To pull us closer
For five years now
The footprints you left on the shores of my heart
Can’t be erased

Those illustrations complete the charming atmosphere of your works. Smart decision on including them here and there.
